Soft sheer drapery bound by a series of crossing black gross grain lines that tie in the back and completed by a Victorian-esque high-collar, this one of a kind halter dress is a collision of time eras. Designer Rachael Domingo created this piece for the Black Chandelier's Sp/Su 2010 runway runway collection, "Aysu", (Turkish name meaning Moon Water).
"This dress defies categorization. It's a conceptual piece asking us to take from the past what we like and move forward with it. It crosses boundaries and mixes opposing influences. I used draping techniques used in ancient times, then created a very modern feeling by detailing with alternative trims and right angles, and completed it with a very sensitive ruffled high collar that ties in the back. It's a very unusual piece and that is what I love so much about it."- Rachael Domingo
